Statement of Need/Program Overview

State-of-the-Art Cardiology and Advanced Limb Preservation Techniques will focus on new technologies and therapies for diagnosing and treating Coronary Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, Atrial Fibrillation, Hypertension, Cardiovascular Imaging, Lipidology, Peripheral Artery Disease and Venous Disease.

Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of Family Physicians, General Practice Physicians, Primary Care Providers, Internists, Cardiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Medicine Specialists, Podiatrists, Cath Lab Technologists, Residents/Fellows, Physician Assistants, Advanced Practice Nurses, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Healthcare Administrators

Learning Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Summarize and implement new imaging and testing available for CAD.
  • Review and evaluate interventional devices and appropriate uses.
  • Discuss and apply new trends in less invasive surgery.
  • Recognize and articulate the current state of healthcare in the US: Where we are and where we are going.
  • Define and assess the role of the physician in management of PAD: From screening to limb salvage.
